Yup, it’s true…I bought a cute little Sony Handycam and am totally obsessed with it! Since Circuit City is going out of business, I decided to take advantage of some of the price knock offs and went ahead and bought a video camera. Nothing too special, but something to start off my film-making career/dream!

The real camera I want is much too expensive at the moment and I’m OK with that, I know I’ll get it in the future. For now, I’m extremely happy with what I got and take my camera everywhere with me, you never know when inspiration might hit and lately it’s been hitting a lot…haha. (wish I could say the same for my website)

I’ve been viewing the amazing video website Vimeo.com and checking out some amazing videos! I can’t wait to finally add some of my amateur work and get critiqued on it. Hey, criticism is a MUST when starting out, how else will you learn what to and NOT to do?

Anyways, I have big plans for this little camera and I already have given myself two projects to work on for the year, aside from trying to move out. I’m just really excited that things seem to really be looking up for me. =)

So yesterday night my boyfriend took me to see Twilight! How sweet of him no?

Anyways, I have to admit, I was extremely disappointed. I know that usually the movie and the book are never the same and only show so many scenes that were ACTUALLY in the book, but my God, did this movie add so many new things! The acting was horrible and most of the scenes contained less dialogue and more staring contests.

I’m sorry to all of you “Robert Pattinson Fans”, but he played a horrible Edward C. and most of the time, my boyfriend and I were laughing at him, as he looked like a crazy psycho!

The actress who played Bella (forgot her name) actually did a good job. I wasn’t overly impressed, but I wasn’t as disappointed like I was with “edward’s” actor.

The rest of the cast did an amazing job. They actually fit in character! It sucks that the two most important people just didn’t hit the mark. =( Oh, also Jacob?! (WTF) I was VERY angry about his character…his “father” played a better role! =/

Overall, I would recommend not watching the movie in theaters. Save your money and wait until it comes out on TV. Also read the book, it’s much better.

No worries, no spoilers here for those who have yet to see the Dark Knight.

This movie was amazing though! To me, none of the other “super hero/comic book” movies can compare and none of the past Batman movies can either. Simply well done! I just love how its very dark and you’ll notice that the difference between this version and the others is how it actually gives you a glimpse into the dark minds of the villains. The others mostly dealt with how Bruce Wayne became Batman and him fighting the evil, this one totally changes that story line and sort of focuses more on the villains and how they came to be corrupt, like Two-Face.

You’re also able to see the darker thought process of Batman and how he works his ways. I don’t think I can stress enough how dark yet so realistic this movie is without you having to see for yourself.

The actors were perfect for each part also. Heath Ledger (RIP) did an AMAZING job as Joker. You would never have figured it was him if you didn’t know who was who in the movie, that’s how wonderful and new his character role was. I’m sure if he were still alive, he would be starring in all of the major hit movies coming up. I swear he better win some awards for this role!

Christian Bale also did a great Batman role. While he isn’t the “perfect” Batman (which I doubt there is out there…) he did a pretty darn good job!

Out of 5 stars, I give it a 10!
