How I Came to Be

I was born on a breezy summer night, June 30, 1988 in Springfield, Massachusetts. I was a premature baby by 3 months and the doctors had told my mother that I would not make it through the night. So in desperation and faith, my mother called a catholic priest and had me baptized. If not by miracle, then strength, I survived the night and was released from the hospital 3 months later.

Who I Am

Depending on the environment and situation, I can be either really outgoing or a little on the shy side. I don’t easily throw my trust towards people and usually stay to myself when dealing with emotions and whatnot. Although, some of my friends would most likely tell you differently, it’s all true–they just don’t realize it. I’m a good judge of character and know how to choose my friends and those I associate myself with wisely. I’m pretty friendly and try to avoid conflict, but if conflict is brought upon me, I will act out according to the situation.

I’m pretty close to my family, even though we fight a lot. My sister and I are not the best of friends, but we try to get along when we’re not pulling each others hair out. I was raised mainly around my mother’s side of the family, so know them best. I’m most closest to my grandmother. I love her very much and dread the day that her time is up. She is the glue that holds our family together and with out her I don’t think it will ever be the same (so, God bless her and let her live for many more years to come). I love my family and know that they will always have my back in anything that I do.

My Babies

#1 cat site for cats & bipeds!

Currently, I have two cute kitties, Midnight and Miss Miss. Miss Miss is a female torte and is currently 3 years old. I found her in a ditch in front of the Winn-Dixie parking lot as a 2 month old kitten, and cared for her since. Midnight was given to me, when he was 1 month old and is now 2 years old. He’s a little rascal and loves messing with Miss Miss. I love them both very much and consider them my little babies.

Update: Unfortunately, my female cat, Miss Miss ran away a few months ago and has yet to come back. I’m not sure why, since sometimes when she get outside she would always come back, but this time it looks like she left for good. There was once about two months back, she came to the back door, almost as if to check up on us and then left again. I have yet to see her since. While she may not be with me anymore, I still consider her one of my babies and love and miss her very much. I just hope she is safe and sound where she may be running around to. =(

Japanese cartoons and comics
I am a huge fan of anime and love to read manga. I know some people have a problem with it and think they’re just childish cartoons and/or comics, but some actually have a lot to do with everyday life. The ones I read are usually for a mature audience because they involve abuse of drugs, sex and violence. The story lines are well thought of and characters more realistic then your average american cartoon. So before you judge just because you saw one episode of Pokemon, stop and see why anime and manga is so famous. See beyond the extremely badly dubbed animes on Cartoon Network and WB, you never know, you might find yourself liking it in the end. ;)

Sports: Basketball, Softball, and Soccer
Ever since I was young I’ve always been a huge sports fan. I’ve played both Softball and Basketball since I was in the first grade and then I tried out Soccer for two years, but didn’t have the passion for it like the other two. After I moved to Florida, I kind of lost my spark for team sports. I had made the JV basketball team my freshmen year in high school, but didn’t feel the same after that. Since I moved from school to school, I didn’t attempt to sign up again for sports and that chapter in my life was closed.

Web/Graphic Design
Web Design is something I stumbled upon when I was around eleven years old (1999). I was a loyal Sailor Moon fan (Japanese cartoon) and had just gotten a computer for Christmas. So in search for more Sailor Moon information on the internet, I came across a bunch of Sailor Moon fan sites, and thought to myself how cool it would be to make my own. At the time Geocities, Tripod, and Angelfire were the “IT” hosts to have and I opened my first Sailor Moon site with Geocities. With just being able to drag and drop everything, I thought I had the best site. After that I saw how some more experienced sites would have their own domains and look ten times better then what I had on Geocities. So I taught myself all I could of HTML. I have to thank a lot of sites, that I copied their coding and learned from them (no this isn’t considered still since I didn’t USE their coding, just LEARNED from it). Also the site Lissa Explains it All, was also a great help and so I would have to thank my obsession with Sailor Moon for bringing me into the Web Design world, that I love so much! =)
