Scare of My Life!
OMG! Today as I had just gotten home, probably around 5:50 – 6:00 PM, I saw that my neighbor was outside the house on her cellphone and a little jumpy. As I get out of my car she quickly calls me over to her and tells me that her house was broken into because she saw that the back door was open and the screen broken. I freak out a little at first thinking they probably hit my house next, she tells me to be careful and to check my house too.
I go in and everything is alright. Of course I quickly grabbed a huge knife from the kitchen and had cell in my pocket just in case. I check the whole house and nothing, thank God, so I go back outside to see if she is ok, since her baby is in the car. That’s when I see her practically screaming and crying into the phone, I run over to her and asked her what was wrong and she’s like “OMG, I just saw the person in my house, he just walked past the window”. At this point, I’m now freaked out, because the person IS STILL HERE. So she gets in her car and drives across street to another neighbor’s driveway. I run back into my house and lock all the doors, but thing I’m most freaked out about is the back door to my house. The stupid lock is broken and the only thing holding it closed is an old plastic/metal broom stick, which I’m sure won’t work if you use enough force. Anyways, so I’m thinking this guy is gonna hop the fence and break into my house and I start calling people and finally get in contact with my best friend. At first I could hear that he just woke up, but when I called his name he instantly woke up and knew something was wrong. The minute I told him that my next door neighbor’s house was broken into, he was like ok I’m on my way. No questions, nothing…God he is such a good friend!
Anyways, so the cops came…about 4 or 5 of them and they closed off the street and even had the police helicopters going around the air, since we have woods behind our houses. I was actually really surprised by how fast they responded. At one point, I went outside and a cop that was there was like; “Ms. please go back into your house.” I was talking to Dustin (my friend) and how he probably wouldn’t be able to get into the street and I was going to ask the cop if he could come. Basically the cop wasn’t going for that, so I told him that I was freaked out because my back doors lock was broken, so he was like OK and escorted me outside of the “barricade” and I saw Dustin pull up. I was so friggin happy to seem him!
The cops were probably on my block for a good hour and half or so before they re-opened the street to people and started to leave. It was hella freaky! I just hope this STUPID PERSON doesn’t decide to come back and hit up my house!
What’s weird about it all too, is that not even two weeks ago or so, one of my co-worker’s house was broken into as well. What the hell is up with people all of a sudden. Are times THAT hard that they need to start robbing good people of their EARNED goods? It’s just so shameful. >=(

That is ridiculously scary! Just a note though… Next time, if you’re not sure if the person is in your house, DON’T play detective and check the house by yourself. That was really dangerous!!
I’m really glad that you’re fine and it sounds like no one was hurt. I’m also glad your friend was there IMMEDIATELY after you called him… It’s very comforting to have close friends around when stuff like that happens. I also hope it will never happen again.

Freaky freaky.
I thought the story was going to end like, “And then the woman realized it was just her husband who had locked himself out.”
But that’s scary. Replace your lock!!!!

Yikes. That is very scary. The only thing close to that that has happened to me was a fire in our garage. If that counts. Haha. I can’t imagine.
I hope everything in your neighborhood is OK and this guy doesn’t come back. Good luck and stay safe!

That’s so scary; I know I’d be deadly scared in that situation. I hope they catch the robber…

Thanks Roxanne for the article. I haven’t read that before, however, I want to make clear that I wasn’t expecting everyone to like everyone’s site. No doubt there will be some that does not like another person’s hard work, infact, they may hate it intensely. My point from the blog is that why do they have to review in such a harsh manner. Your site got mainly 3 and 4 stars, which is pretty good. Have you took the time to read other people’s reviews such as RetroBlast’s? There were reviews that included quotes such as “where the hell did that come from?” as well as “I will definitely never visit your website again as it as nothing to offer.” and many more. I encourage you to read them, even I, although I don’t own that site, feel really heartbroken when reading those kinds of reviews. Don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against review me and I actually really like that site, however, I’m just stating that some reviewers are a bit.. straight forward and cold about it. They say things that they could probably bite their tounge (or hold their fingers from typing) on. =/ So it’s just a blog to clear my mind and let other’s know that if they’re going to join review me, there are going to be comments like such. I apologize that my comment is really lengthy, however, I do hope that you understand my side of the story. I haven’t added my site up there yet, but from looking at other site’s reviews, their hardwork, it just makes me really upset- Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope you understand what I was trying to say in my blog and yes I realize that my use of language was really harsh as well, however, that was the type of emotion I had when I was reading the reviews, so please excuse me for that. It’s the very first time I have ever cussed in one of my blogs. yea, it leads to bad first impressions on many, however, it’s my opinion and some are facts as well =x.
I wish the best for your site and I encourage you to keep up the nice and tidy work you’re doing on this site =)

OMG! That is SO freaky! I can’t believe that happened to you, one of my family friends was recently robbed and it was really scary to hear about them. God, I’m just glad you’re all right!
