Job Hunting
For a good two weeks now, I have been on a serious job hunt. I’ve applied everywhere that does not involve food and is related to my current field of web design. It’s really not that hard to find web/graphic design companies here in Florida, but to find a job opening is another story!
Even my current client is helping me! He called a few people he knew in the business and recommended me, which I highly appreciate. One company said that since I had just graduated from Winter Park Tech, that maybe the job would be to overwhelming. His website wasn’t that hard to figure out, but I guess since he thinks I’m new to the web design world, that I wouldn’t be able to handle it. It’s alright though, Mr. Pervis had other places (a lot actually) and I’m very great full for it. I just hope I get a call or email soon!
So yesterday I had a little scare with my cat Midnight. I had put him in the garage where his cat litter is so he could do his business. Usually I leave them (I have 2 cats) in there so they run around a bit, since it’s open space. Basically 20 minutes later…I go to the garage and open the door to let him back in, when no Midnight comes trotting back in I go into the garage calling his name. He is no where to be found and I start panicking. I go all around the house calling his name and looking through every nook and cranny in the house. I decide to look back in the garage and notice that the drier is on, my first thought is that by an ODD mistake my mom was putting clothes in the drier and didn’t see him hop in and BOOM! So I open the drier door and franticly look through the clothes, still no Midnight. Then I think behind the drier and get this eerie feeling that I’m going to find a mangled body or something. Instead of finding that, I see a big round hole in the wall that leads to outside, basically its the hole where that alumna pipe/tail that comes from the drier and to the outside goes and its out of the hole socket.
At this point I’m scared because now I know he’s outside and there are a bunch of nasty street cats who just so happen to live in my backyard. So I go running out there, looking all crazy and what not, calling his name. I still don’t see Midnight and am just thinking the worst. After about 10 minutes of nothing I go back into the house in tears.
My mom is saying that I should wait outside that he would come back eventually. The thing is I’m scared because he doesn’t have his tags on him and doesn’t have a chip in him either, so if a animal catcher were to come around (which they do A LOT) and got Midnight well I would never know anything. So I’m sitting on the couch sobbing my eyes out and my other cat Miss Miss is there licking up my tears (she’s such a sweetheart and nasty…haha) when my father walks in. I tell him everything that happened and he goes outside to look for Midnight again himself and I follow. He goes to the backyard and calls out to him again and they walks to this little patch on the side of our house that leads into the “woods” (you can walk through them and get to the other side on the neighborhood) and guess who we find sitting there like nothing is wrong in the world? MIDNIGHT! Argh, I felt like hitting him…haha and no I don’t hit my babies.
So as I’m writing this, the bum himself is sleeping soundly on top of my desk. Whew, that was on crazy day…haha.
Till next time, or at least something interesting happens…haha. =)

Good luck with job hunting, it can be hard to find a job you like. When I was job hunting I was willing to do a lot of things outside of my field just to be able to get a job and have some money coming in. Luckily I found a great job which isn’t inside my field but I like it a lot.
For me it was hard to find a job in my field too, I majored in Microbiology and Genetics and I really wanted to work in forensics, but since there only is 1 laboratory for forensics here where 6 people work it’s close to impossible.
I’m glad Midnight is OK, it’s always scary when an animal goes missing. The other day I turn my back and my kitten Sam is just gone. I saw him sitting near his litter box and when I turn around again he’s not there, so I seek high and low for him, calling his name (which, surprisingly he listens to quiet well) but no sign of him anywhere. Until finally he looks up at me from a place I just searched like he wanted to say ‘ What’s the fuss about’

See, everyone who knows me knows that I’m deathly afraid of cats! But I do find them cute in pics… and when they’re with their owners. lol. So I’ve never wished for any cat to die or get lost or anything like that.
Anyways, I’m glad you found your cat!
